Become a Conscious Consumer

Everyday we are inevitably going to need to consume products from  basic necessities to the things that make us comfortable. However, there are a few key things we, as consumers, can do to reduce our impact on the resources and world around us.

As A Green Consumer I will:

  • Buy local in order to support local growers and enjoy more delicious and nutritious foods.
  • Buy cruelty-free products to prevent the meaningless mistreatment and deaths of thousands of animals.
  • Buy products that haven't been genetically modified to avoid unknown and adverse health and environmental effects.
  • Buy organic as a means to eat more healthy and protect the environment and myself from chemical pesticides and fertilizers.
  • Buy products with limited packaging in an attempt to help in recycling efforts and reduce my waste production.
  • Purchase from fair trade organizations to promote the fair and ethical treatment of producers and farmers internationally.
